Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity
The Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity training program is designed to teach students the skills for entry-level employment in the Cybersecurity industry.
Cybersecurity professionals work in a wide range of industries supporting the security of IT infrastructure.
The core training begins with fundamental courses in IT, networking, cybersecurity, and Linux to create a foundation upon which students will build knowledge and skills in ethical hacking and penetration testing, network defense & countermeasures, incident response & digital forensics, cybersecurity operations, and cybersecurity programs & policies.”
The Associate of Applied Science in Cybersecurity training program prepares and supports Peloton College students in obtaining several certifications in support of their cybersecurity career including CompTIA’s A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Pentest, & CySA+.
AAS in Cybersecurity training program graduates will typically qualify for entry-level employment in roles such as Information Security Analysts and Computer Network Support Specialists.
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age or older on the date of enrollment, have an HS diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET) or a recognized Homeschool Certificate/Diploma, and pass a nationally recognized entrance exam (Wonderlic, Min. score of 14). Applicants must not be enrolled at a primary or secondary institution.
The Cybersecurity training program can be completed in 63 weeks.
Evening classes are offered at this time.
Peloton College students will take core classes in a traditional on-site format on Monday through Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (if day classes are available) or 5:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (evening classes) and general education classes in an Online format on Thursday each week.
