The Information Technology Support Professional program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in implementing and managing IP traffic and a variety of security protocols for a Local Area Network (LAN).

Peloton College students will be exposed to PC architecture; operating systems; and hardware. Additional emphasis will be placed on network operating systems (NOS) and proprietary Cisco routers and switches.

Under this Information Technology training program, students will learn Network Administration and how to build, troubleshoot and maintain computer systems. They will also learn to build networks to specifications using Cisco routers and switches.

The Information Technology Support Professional training program also covers the skills required to use OSI and TCP/IP models and protocols and how to Implement IP addressing schemes and IP services using binary numbers.

Courses on how to use IOS with Cisco and Implementation of Security on your network using Cisco Firewall Technologies will also be covered.

Information Technology program students will also learn to install and administer wireless networks, Server Installation and Package Management.

The Information Technology Training Program training program can be completed in as little as 9 months or 36 weeks.  Day and evening shifts are available.

CCNA (Cisco)

Security + (CompTIA)

CWNA (Wireless Network Professional)

Information Technology Support Professional Careers:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), opportunities in the Computer Support Specialists sector are excellent. Employment of computer support specialists is projected to grow by 8 percent from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations.1

Graduates of the Information Technology Support Professional training program will possess the knowledge and skills for possible careers as:
